Blood Tests Done. Should Further Liver Tests Be Done?
Dear doctors,
I would appreciate your answer. I am 52. I have just done blood test and higher levels are:
AST 68 (one year ago it was 22)
ALT 53 (one year ago it was 32)
MPV 11,9 (one year ago it was 10,8)
GGT 30 and other results are between reference intervals.
I am asked to go to do further liver analyses.

I read carefully your question.
I think that you need to do other exams as liver ultrasound to see hepar echo structure,biliary tree and main portal vein.
Laboratory exams;HBs-Ag and Anti-HCV.
