I am a student, and I was about to study for finals just this second, and I just realized that my vision has become blurred. It seems that when I go to read something, the first or first two letters of the word are not showing up at all. or I have to try to focus extremely hard to see them. It seems that my right eye is more focused than my left. This has never happened before, and I don't usually have eye problems. Do you have any idea what might be happening? And will my vision correct itself soon or what should I do? I have to write a ten page paper!
The symptoms of difficulty in focusing words in your books suggests refractive error of the eyes.
refractive error of eyes means that there is elongation or shortened eye ball due to which the light rays are not able to focus on the retina to form a sharp image.
The attempt to focus causes a strain in the eye muscles and it may cause head ache, photo phobia, etc.
You need to visit an ophthalmologist for clinical examination, optometry for correction of the refractive error.
You may need a pair of spectacles or if you do not want to wear spectacles, you may go for contact lenses.
thanks and take care
