Boil Between Anus And Vagina, Took Antibiotics, Wound Healed Still Having Hard Bump In Area, Puss Comes Out.
I had a boil between my anus and vagina.i had cut and drained, i was given antibiotics and it took a while to heal. now the wound has healed there is still a hard bump in the area next to incision. This morning I felt that the bump hurts a little bit so, i pressed it and puss came out of my anus. what could this be? i am worried about this. please help. thanks
Bump may be due to inadequate drainage of pus and improper care. You need proper repeat clinical examination by surgeon. If it is not properly drained then second drainage may be required under antibiotic coverage and a bigger incision might be required. Small bump may be due to fibrosis resulting from healing. It is better to avoid pressure on the area while sitting and preventing sweat formation in the area. This will give rise to further bacterial growth and delayed healing. Get well soon
