Boils In Labia And Buttock Treated With Hydrocortisone Turned Into Purplish Red Spots. Any Advice?
I thought I was getting a boil on the inner part of my one labium and treated it with Bactroban ointment. I then appeared to be developing another spot just below my Left buttock and treated that as well. the area on my labium then seemed to almost ulcerate and I stopped using the Bactroban and applied 1% Hydrocortisone cream instead. this seemed to help the irritation, but when I inspected the area tonight, I can see purplish red spots on both the labium and buttock. What should I do?
The best medical.advise you could get right now is to never self-medicate and visit a doctor for a physical examination. You can never be too sure of a diagnosis. As for the next step, there is very little information provided by you, like your age, sexual status, partner details, further deacription of the boils, etc.
You could write back to me with the details, and I would be more than happy to help you; or you could visit a doctor for a physical examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
