Bone Scan Showed Foci Of Radiotracer Uptake, Had Rib Fractures. Meaning?

I had a bone scan in November 2012. The results were foci of radiotracer uptake are noted in the lateral aspect of the right 5th through 9th ribs and in the left 6th through 8th ribs, which are all consistent with rib fractures . I fractured them from coughing, which was September 2012. Should my ribs still be hurting?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
Because of healing process near the fracture site, there was increased uptake of radiotracer.
Nothing to worry.
If all the other parts are normal without increased uptake, there is no problem.
Wish you good health
Regards
