Hello
LEFT AXIS DEVIATION ( LAD ) is one of the most common ECG anomaly observed in 10 % of population and is not necessarily is indicative of any specific cardiac condition. However,LAD may also occur in presence of many cardiac conditions like left ventricular hypertrophy, high blood potassium, inferior wall MI etc.
These conditions should always be explored especially when a person is hypertensive and diabetic,as you are, although controlled.
Thanks
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
in your case with Hypertension well controlled with treatment,
left axis deviation is a common finding of hypertension (high BP) and is not at all worrisome if the only finding.
so relax and take regular treatment. get a 2 D echo done to quantify LVH , if not already done.(not must)
take care and pl. keep me posted on the progress.
