Breast Cancer, Pain, Prescribed Femara, Dizziness. Any Other Medicine?

the doctor has prescribed femara I have breast cancer that has mets to the bone. I am getting a lot of pain as Idid with arimidex the pain is in my bones. not only that I have found that these tablets cause dizziness went I have been driving the car, so much so that I had to stop the car in fact, I had to get of the freeway and find a shop and buy something to eat. can I come of these tablets and ask the doctor for something to strengthen my bones rather than weeken my bones

Hi, femara is a aromatase inhibitor. the musculoskeletal i.e bone and joint pains can occur in upto 20% of patients taking it. dizziness can also occur. you can try using pain killers. even then if it does not subscide, there is a option of try changing the tablet to exemestene. even if it doesnt subscide can go for changing to tamoxifen which has favourable effect on the bone. with femara you need to undergo half yearly bone mineral density and should take bisphosphonates if decrease in bone density.
