Breathing Not Completely Rectified Post DNS Operation. Can I Opt For Septo Rhino Plasty?
DNS operation already done to my nose for synus infection 4 years back. but my nose septrum not strait. even one way of nose is slightly tough to take breath. But improved breathing than bfore operation. Now may i go to take septo rino plasty for better breathing. is it any future problems accuring by this surgery. my age/sex ; 32 Male
Hi and thanks for the query, There are many reasons for a blocked nose like deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, allergic rhinitis, polyps etc. If the reason for your blocked nose is indeed a deviated septum then you will do well with a septoplasty. Repeat septoplasties have a higher rate of complications like septal perforations, cosmetic disfigurement of nose. Ask your surgeon for more information before you decide to undergo another surgery.
