Breathlessness. Allergic To Dust. Had Chest Pain. Took Musadol, Salbutamol Inhaler. Not Helping. Cure?
Doctor, I' Subha, 28 years old. From last 2 days I'm suffering breathless problem. already I had medicine, (Muscadol & salbutamol inhel) before I was suffering chest pain also, now no painning more, but still having breathless. (I'm working in a Laundry & there are more dust also) from my child hood I have little allergic with dust. but I never suffer asthma or sevier breathless problem
Allergies to dust mite increases when you are in a humid atmosphere, and of course with working in a laundry.
I would suggest you also avoid bleaching agents as they release nascent chlorine on contact with water and asthmatics tend to cough more or get an acute attack on such exposure.
For the asthma, you need to see a Chest Specialist to start on Budesonide 2 puffs twice daily inhaler or Fluticasone 250 2 puffs twice daily. You need to keep Asthalin inhlaer for emergency use.
Testing for allergies to know what exactly you are allergic to will be required.
try monteleukast tabs twice daily for 3 weeks, Vitamin c 500 mg daily for 1 month, avoid dust by using nasal filter when you go out.
fluticasone/salmeterol inhaler may be used once daily.
Get complete blood count for eosinophil ount also, Plain X-ray chest PA view.
If you have persistent pain in chest then see a chest specialist
Hi, thanks for posting the question.
Frankly I would like to say one thing that you are a patient of asthma.
Following symptoms are,
1. Whistling sound during inhalation and exhalation i.e breathing.
2. Sneezing .
3. Running of nose .
4. Itching in eyes and sometimes tears from eyes.
5. Breathlessness.
6. sore throat ( may be or not)
7 Itch in throat ( cough due to this)
8. Drowsiness ( initial stage, there after patient become chronic)
9. Chest pain may be or not.
10.When in contact with allergens dust, mite, pollen , fine powder etc patient starts sneezing with running of nose.
So please accept that you have a chronic form of bronchial asthma.
Take all precautions as mentioned above i.e keep away from allergens. PREVENTION IS THE BEST CURE.
Good luck . Dr. HET
your allergies increases with age when you neglect them
yiu have to treat allergies to prevent its increase and recurences
at present take singular 10 mg bd
tab allegra 120 mg bd
syp ventrolin 1 tsf tds
syp gelusil 2 tsf tds]
apply neosporin h eye ointmen in nose regularly morning to avoid contact of dust with nose
sea water drops 2 drps at night each nostril to clear mucus back of throat
you can take nedicines off and on and this time 2 wk
these are without side ffects
but you should consult allergeologist to treat the allergies
Any one of the several substances used in the laundry - individually or in combination - could have worsened allergy and/or caused bronchial asthma.
If there is no asthma before - get examined by a Chest Physician - examination and/or Spirometry can confirm the diagnosis...Steroids - inhaled or systemic / Leukotriene antagonists can be added and will be of help...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
wHEN YOUR ALLGIES ARE FROM THE CHILDHOOD IT GROWS Along with age growth and the medicines controlling the vallergies may not be able to control the symptomps even the inhalers sometime are not able to control them
i can say you add singular 10 mg tds
syp ventrolin 1 tsf tds
take gelusil 2 tsf tds
i think this will do
you have to take 3 wk even if symptomps are under control
