Brown Color, Red Patch, Blister After Tooth Pulled, Caps Placed. Is It A Burn?

My 8 year old had a tooth pulled and two caps placed and seals applied yesterday at 4pm by 5:30pm he had a red patch with a blister in the middle of it about the size of a nickel now I took him to the er after calling the dentist last night 3x and to day 2x and they kept blowing me off the doctor on call at the er was blown away by it . The spot is now a brown color with a bright red around it he said it was a burn?????

It is possible to have some kind of blisters in the mouth after the dental procedures which may be due to some abrasions during the procedure. You have not mentioned how is your son/daughter responding. If the child is not having any symptoms like fever, irritability, lymph node enlargement, you can wait and watch. No need to watch this blister so closely more often and just allow it to heal on its own. Visit your dentist again only if symptoms worsen.

Hello,
Doing warm saline gargles is a good remedy for blisters post extraction. Also to prevent blisters place baking soda over them and also rush to the dentist as soon as possible.. Few other home remedies useful in the treatment of blisters are application of garlic gel capsule. Also application of lemon over the area is a good home remedy...
