Brown Colored Mucus While Blowing Nose, Congestion, Something Came Out Of Nose While Blowing. Any Ideas?
I have had, I would guess a sinus infection because I have been blowing colored mucus when I blow my nose, for the past at least 2 weeks. I get better then I get so conjested I cannot breath thru my nose. I blew my nose really good and something came out that was so gross. It wasnt snot, my son was saying it looked like a piece of my brain! There was no blood. What could it have been??
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. In my opinion you got an allergy due to any allergen with super added infection. Allergy developed bronchoconstriction and this causes difficulty in breathing due to congestion. As there was congestion , but also infection was there , so there develops mucus & expectoration. Forceful blowing of nose causes rupture of very small arteries .This produces blood . Clotted blood with mucus is coming out from nose. In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion as physical examination is very important . Chest X ray will also find out any disease , if present in lungs. Good luck. Dr. HET
