I am also having a lot of pains in my lower abdominal as well as pains on both of my sides underneath both ribs. Hi, Firstly, you should exclude/confirm pregnancy through a blood or urine test if you are sexually active. Secondly, it could be due to some hormonal disturbance that has occurred due to some stress, infection, use of certain medications or sudden weight changes. You may also need a trans-vaginal sonogram for a proper clarification in addition to blood counts, urinalysis and a physical exam by a specialist. Management is based on the presence/absence of pregnancy, hormonal imbalances and other causative factors. Hope this helps.
