Brown Discoloration In Legs, No Itching, Not Raised, Dry Skin. Related To Kidney?
I have a brownish/read discoloration on both lower legs. It does not itch and is not raised. Skin is very dry and flakes. This discoloration changes somewhat in darkness, sometimes very light in color. I was told in one instance that it might be related to a kidney disorder but tests have not shown any problems with kidneys. I am 76 and have had this discoloration for about 20 years
Thank you for your question.
As per your descriptionit looks like pigmented purpuric dermatosis.
Its not related to kidneys.
use leg elevation during sleep and avoid prolonged standing.
Put moisturizordaily for dryness as at your age skin tends to be dry as a part of ageing process.
if any more doubts get back to me.
Thanks
