Brown Periods After Having Sex. When Is The Period Supposed To End And Is The Color Normal?

hi, i am undergoing few problems after having my first sex. After having sex on 28th november i used to feel a bit of pain when i used to finish urinating and It was on 3rd that i started with my periods. Usually my periods used to last for 4-5 days. But now there s a change in colour in my blood . Its a bit brownish now. Can you tell when is my periods supposed to end and is the colour normal?

Hi,
The consummation, or the first time you have intercourse, results in tearing of the hymen, the membrane that covers the vaginal opening and this results in the pain and also some spotting. Some amount of cystitis is also seen after the first intercourse. You should see your gynecologist , get a urine test done, and take treatment. Brownish discharge indicates old bleeding and since you are still bleeding, you seem to be running a metropathic cycle this time. This could also be corrected once you get treated for other problems. Please get further advice from your doctor. Take care.
