Bruised Legs, Compressed Fracture On The Wrist After An Accident. Swelling In The Feet And Ankles After Putting Plate And Screws. Why?
I was in an auto accident 2 weeks ago tonight ... My legs were very badly bruised but didn't appear to have any breaks as my right wrist had a confirmed compressed fracture which I had surgery in this past Wednesday to have a plate & screws inserted .... However my ankles & feet are continuing to swell even tho I have them elevated & iced. Should I be exams again for the swelling in my legs- I'm concerned!
History of Road traffic accident. Compression fracture of the right hand and undergone surgical fixation. But swelling and restriction of movement of the ankle joint. Ankle joint is a complexed joint and there is always a possibility involvement of bone or soft tissue of the ankle. MRI of the ankle joint and the foot may give a clear picture.
