Budesonide, Pills 3 Times A Day. How Should Take Doses?

my doctor prescribed for me Budesonide Controller Realase pills. Said I am to take 3 pills a day for 2 weeks but don t know if I should take all 3 at once or at different times during the day. The I take 2 pills a day after taking the 3 pill, and thendown to 1 pill a day for 2 weeks and the stop the pills. Another question? when do I take the pills again. Thank you Marlene

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Budesonide is usually taken after meals and since your pills are controlled release pills I am thinking that you should be taking them as you have mentioned yourself. That would be a tapered dose of the medications. I think your doctor will tell you when to take the pills again if you should or have you maintained on just the inhaler which you probably have now. There are other ways and medications to maintain you off of allergy once the acute phase is controlled. Please consult your doctor regarding this.
