Bump In The Bruised Knee, Painful On Touch. History Of Osteosarcoma. Should I Be Concerned?

I fell 2 Months ago & my knee was bruised for a couple of days. About 2 weeks later i noticed a bump on my tibia around an inch under my knee. The bump is hard (like bone hard) it hurts to the touch & causes pain with activity such as walking. I am worried i have fractured/displaced/chipped my bone. Also I have a family history of osteosarcoma . My mom died at 30 from leukemia that spread from the osteosarcoma & her mom as well had osteosarcoma. This has added to my concern since i thought the bump would go away after a week or so if i had just injured it. I am 25 female.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bump that you have after an injury is likely to be due to fibrosis of the hematoma formed in the area. This is less likely to be due to a bone injury.
Still it is best to get an X-ray of the area done to confirm.
