Bump On Roof Of Mouth, Painful To Touch, Pus And Blood Filled. What Could This Be?
I had a bump on the roof of my mouth for two days now. I took a small mirror and reflected it on another mirror in order to see it, it is like the size of a pea and has a white head look to it. It is painful if u touch or put pressure on it. i sterilized tweezers and scrapped them across the sore and a small amount of white pus like fluid came out with a lot of blood . What could this be???
its could be an infection from tooth leading to collection of pus in that area.. consult a dentist asap.. you may require rct or extracion of that tooth .. for the times being you can start tab cefadroxill 500 2times + cap lactovit 2 times + tab zerodol sp 3times daily for 5 days .. do luke warm warm saline rinse
remember these medicines are for symptomatic relief only...

The pus filled abscess developed on the roof of mouth may be due to-
associated deep dental caries
periodontal infection resulting in absecss.
Tooth fracture with pulpal involvement.
Emergency access opening has to be done.
The abscess has to be drained and curetted.
Take complete course of antibiotics,

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
you might have caused trauma to your soft tissue, and as a normal defense mechanism of our body, a blister like swelling developed on the palate.
I advise you to avoid picking or even popping it, it will heal on its own, ideally within 5-7 days the swelling will disappear completely.
But,if its hurting you then you may have to see your dentist, as he/she will prescribe you a topical gel.
also, you can use listerine (twice/day),
even warm saline rinses(3-4 times/day) will relieve symptoms if present.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful

Hi
It could be infected sebaceous cyst, which occurs due to infection of hair follicle.
As the pus has come out, please take antibiotic and anti inflammatory drug.
It will subside.
Nothing to worry
Wish you good health
