Bump On The Foot, Difficulty In Walking Post A Fall, Had Heard A Pop During The Fall. What Can Be Done?
I missed a step and fell on my left foot . I heard when it cracked and it did not sound good, I am able to move my toes and my foot just that it hurts a little bit on the left side. I feel and kind of see like a bump on the left side of my ankle, I can t walk straight I have to limp. However, I don t feel a pain but like a bump on my foot.

As you slipped and feel,you had put lot of pressure on your left foot. So a ligament by name lateral ligament wil be stretched n some time there might be a fracture. So there wil be swelling also.
I advice you to take a x ray of foot. If no fracture,then you should apply crepe bandage for 3weeks with pain killers n minimal weight bearing. If fracture is present,POP cast can be put.

it seems to be a soft tissue injury due to fall. if there is no great pain, a fracture is less likely. but limping, swelling may be indicating a ligament injury.
I would advise to get evaluated by an ortho doctor and rule out any crack.
