Bumps Behind Palette After Eating. What Is Triggering This Reaction?
Sometimes I get bumps behind my palette (close to my throat) after eating. I dont know what triggers it per se, but it seems like salty foods might be the trick. It feels like my throat is smaller or my tongue is larger because it becomes difficult to swallow. The bumps last approximately 1 hour but difficulty swallowing lasts about 3-4. Any ideas what it could be or what is triggering this reaction?
If the bumps (as mentioned in your post) occur only after taking food, then it can be attributed to allergic reaction to the food products. Salty foods as a causative agent for these symptoms can be determined by taking salt free food & look for the presence of symptoms. Symptomatic relief can be obtained by avoiding such foods. Also antacids like Pantoprazole can be taken 30 min before food.
If the symptoms persist, kindly consult an ENT specialist & get a complete clinical examination done. Investigations like upper GI endoscopy will be helpful to rule out any pathological reason for the symptoms. Take care.
