Burning Sensation In Mouth, Feeling Hot In Feet. Lactose Intolerant, Taking Vitamin Supplements. Suggestions?
Query is about my dad, a 78 year old man that's is telling me that his mouth feels as if it was burned just like he sipped too much hot coffee and burned the roof of his mouth and tongue. This symptom started at the same time that his feet were feeling very hot all of the time. He has been lactose intolerant for over 10 years and doctor just gave him a vitamin B shot for this but it had no change to his symptoms. He also takes a daily multi-vitamin. Any thoughts??
He can apply triamcinolone gel (kenacort gel) on any specific area in mouth which is burning more. Should use antiseptic mouth wash, should get his dental status checked and maintain a good oro-dental hygiene. Also, need to correct any disturbance in bowl, if any, he is having. Some change in diet with high fibre diet and plenty of fluids will also help.
