Burning Sensation In Throat. Tests Done, Normal Result. Taking Nexium, Not Helping. Is This The Correct Treatment?

have burning in throat...am on nexium but is not relieving the burn when usually it does an on going situation with me for years. Had scopes etc done an appears all is ok but I do not feel ok. Have started enzymes, diagesta, with meals which has been helping with digestion but the burning in the throat is still there. seems to be constant. not understanding this

Hi, you are using medicine to reduce acid production. As your endoscopy is normal, what you can do is:
1. Add prokinetics
2. Add sucralfate syrup before meals
3. Change your dietary habits to avoid more of tea, coffee, spicy foods.
4. Make some changes in personal habits like stop smoking (if you smoke), avoid alcohol and do some relaxation exercises as stress also increases the problem. Otherwise, if you are having altered bowel habits, consult a GE for that. You can also use B complex for few days.
