Burning Sensation In Tongue And Lips, Hurts While Brushing Teeth. No Relief With Valtrex. Whom To Consult?

I am having alot of problems with my tongue and lips. I feel like they are burnt, it hurts to brush my teeth, I use biotene toothpaste, mouthwash and mouth spray. I can't eat alot of foods--anything spicy, fruits with acidic taste, my lips are cracked at the corners. Nothing gives me any relief. I have even tried Valtrex with no relief. I have spoken with my physician and she doesn't act like it is a problem, but it is really getting uncomfortable more and more daily. Not sure if I should go to my dentist or to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist.
