Burning Sensation Under Scalp On Left Side, Ache In Neck And Left Elbow Joints. Detected Outer Ear Infection. Connected?
I went to the doctor to have my ears cleared by syringing today. He told me I might have an outer ear infection as my left ear canal appeared constricted and gave me a prescription for Sofradex ear drops. Due to time constrains I have not had this prescription filled yet. I have experienced a burning sensation under my scalp only on the left hand side of my head during the day. This evening I am experiencing neck ache and left arm ache. particularly in my elbow joints. Is this something to be concerned about or is it just a minor infection traveling thru my lymphatic system?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The burning sensation and the pain in the neck could be connected to the ear infection as it causes a local lymphadenopathy. This could also be related to cervical spondylosis causing a pain upto the elbow. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal drtayal72@gmail.com
