Burning When Urinating. Could I Have Contracted Herpes 1?

I am a 29 year old female that has only ever received oral sex . I have gotten a few cold sores throughout my life, so Ive always figured I have herpes type 1. A couple years after receiving oral sex the first time at age 19, it would burn a little bit before I urinate. Not when it is coming out or afterwards, just right before the urine comes out. Its not in my vagina, and i dont think the urethra either. I cant tell where it is other than the clitoral area,,could I have contracted herpes 1 down there. Could years of constant stress have caused dysuria of some type? If herpes, will it always be like this? Also, I used to hold my urine for at least an hour years ago when I would drive home from work. Could that have caused permanent damage?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Genital herpes infection does not cause burning while urinating. You are looking to deep into disease. Your symptoms are simply caused by urinary tract infection (bladder most likely). Burning will never be exactly in the infection area. It will always be hard to localize. No permanent damages either. Holding urine for a long time can make you prone to such infection. Its because you are not flushing it with urine (just hold it in the bladder).

I suggest you to have urine analysis and antibiotics course. You should also drink plenty of mineral water, do not hold urine for long time and start cranberries supplementation.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
