Butt Cheek Has A Very Severe Stabbing Pain While Walking, Sitting And Sleeping. Problem?

When I'm sittin it's a dull throbbing pain and doesn't matter what position I am in wether sitting or lieing down its there. It started after a 7 hour vehicle ride with 3 stretching stops. Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

As per the description, I suspect that you may have suffered GLUTEAL STRAIN owing to unaccustomed physical strain.

The general treatment guidelines are as follows -
* Rest to the involved area and avoiding activities that exerts additional strain on the inflammed tissues
* Ice packing once in 2 hours to reduce the pain
* Moist heat fomentation to relax the taut muscles
* Analgesics & muscle relaxant gel application as needed

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
