CAN KNEE PAIN BE RELATED TO BREAST AND LUNG CANCER ?
I HAVE ON SET KNEE PAIN IN MY LEFT KNEE FOR OVER A WEEK NOW WITH NO INJURY. I HAD METASTATIC BREAST CANCER STAGE 4 WITH 6 LYMPH NODE POSITIVE AND THREE LUNG TUMORS IN 2004. I AM NOW ON AROMASIN HAD MAJOR RADIATION (14 FIELDS A DAY FOR 38 SESSIONS) AND 8 DIFFERENT CHEMO FOR 8 MONTHS. I STILL HAVE A TUMOR IN MY LUNG THAT WE ARE WATCHING THAT CHANGES SIZES BUT IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE PULMARY ARTERY AND VEIN. COULD THE KNEE PAIN BE A RESULT OF A FLARE UP OF THE CANCER HAS BECOME ACTIVE AGAIN. I HAVE RADIATION INDUCED COPD AND MANY OTHER PROBLEMS AND I AM ON SS DISABILITY . WHAT SHOULD I DO. LAST CT SCAN W/ CONTRAST SO NO CHANGE IN SIZE OF TUMOR THAT WAS 6 MONTHS AGO.
Thanks for the query
It is not likely for the tumor to met into the knee joint, however a simple xray can prove otherwise. I am sure u will be on analgesics, te same will work for the knee pain too
