CAT Scan Showing Mild Diffuse Pancreatic Atrophy. Have Stage 4 Colon Cancer And Treated With Avastin. What Could Be The Cause?
My CAT Scan shows I have mild diffuse pancreatic atrophy. I have stage 4 colon cancer and I am being treated with avastin (650 mg/every 3 weeks) and Xoloda (1,000mg 2x day). I had a re-section in 2008 of my colon (stage 1 colon cancer) and in 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in my lungs. I had a partial lobectomy of my left lung in January of 2013 and now I have 2 small cancerous lesions (one on my lower right lobe- about 1.9 x 1.1 cm and another on my upper left lobe-1.4 x 1.2 cm, and a cancerous lymph node on my pulmonary artery which is getting smaller 1.5 x 0.9cm). What could be causing the atrophy of my pancreas?
Avastin has no such side effect, even Fluorourasil which may has been combined with avastin as your chemotherapeutic protocols has not such adverde effect. It is due to the disease process itself.God bless you.
