CT PNS Report Reveals Left Maxillary Polyposis With Left Side DNS, Hypertrophy. Suggestions ?
Dear doctor my CT PNS report reveals LEFT MAXILLARY POLYPOSIS WITH LEFT SIDED DNS AND RIGHT IFERIOR TURBINATED HYPERTROPHY . Please what this report means and suggest line of treatment. I am experiencing little pain at left cheek bone side, headache mostly on left side, cough & soar throat email id YYYY@YYYY
This report means that there ia a growth in your left maxillary sinus.
Along with that, your nasal septum (partition between two nostrila ) is shifted towards left side. This deviation has created more space in right nostril which is causing the structure in right nostril to undergo increase in size (hypertrophy).
You need to go to an ENT surgeon who will correct your deviated septum and also remove the growyh in the maxillary sinus. This growth should be send to a Pathologist who will examine it and will report whether it is benign or malignant.
Your complaints of pain, headache etc are due to this growth and deviated septum.
