CT Scan And MRI, Upper Pole Left Renal Cyst, Lesions. Help?
I just had a ct scan and now they want to do an mri , which is fine, but want to know what they are looking for and what these findings mean. Upper pole left renal cyst measures 1.3 cm and has a possible mural nodule versus complex internal debris, this lesion previously measured 0.9 cm on ct scan in 2009. New lower pole left renal solid subcentimeter lesion measures 4 mm. Can you give me any answers?
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
they report a small cyst (fluid filled cavity) with a nodule (tumour)or debris in left kidney upper end. which has grown in size from previous size in an older scan. a new tumorous growth in lower end also present.
the doctors would like to find out the exact characteristics of it and the surrounding structures to decide if it is benign or cancerous.
many may be non- cancerous/ infective cysts.
pl. await results. you may require a CT guided biopsy by a urologist.
take care and keep me posted on the site/ email about your progress.
Good luck !
