What Does CT Scan Report Suggest?

One acquaintance kidney stone problem since last 1 month CT Scan of KUB diagnosis as follows: 1. right renal cyst 2. right renal non obstructing calculus 3. left mild hydroureteronephrosis with vuj calculus 4. a well defined oval cystic lesion in left adnexa - probably suggest left ovarian cyst, requires ultrasound correlation

Thanks for writing in.

1. right renal cyst

This is a fluid filled structure usually harmless. If size more than 3 cm in diameter then you must follow it up closely.

2. right renal non obstructing calculus

There is a small stone in the right kidney which is not causing any obstruction to the outwards flow of urine and therefore not a concern.

3. left mild hydroureteronephrosis with vuj calculus

There is a calculus in the lower part of the left ureter near to the urinary bladder which is causing obstrction to the flow of urine and this requires urgent urological consultation.

4. a well defined oval cystic lesion in left adnexa - probably suggest left ovarian cyst, requires ultrasound correlation

This is most likely a benign cyst of the ovary but you may need to get it seen by ultrasound scan to get confirm the diagnosis.
