Dear friend, welcome and thanks for entrusting your query here at Healthcaremagic!
I am Dr. Prasad Akole (Critical Care Expert- http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole) and am glad to address to your query here.
It is not a serious finding.
Small
basal atelectasis (base region lung
unit collapse) is common and not serious. Causes are many like bed ridden state, upper
abdominal pain, obesity etc.
Important finding is a small fluid filled
cyst (balloon like structure) in the
pancreas gland which is sitting near the splenic vessels. Again there are many possibilities depending on what are the symptoms. Does not look like cancer and not serious.
But it needs evaluation by a gastroenterologist to look for the cause and confirm if it is benign.
It may be harmless cyst present from long time or usually develops after an attack of
pancreatitis (pseudocyst). Ductal enlargement, rarely a cancer are possible alternatives.
Rest of the scan is normal except some motion artifacts.
I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily. I would be glad to answer any further queries. Take care and please keep me informed of your progress at http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole
