You can consult a physiotherapist to see if they can help you. They will start you off on hot fomentation therapy which might help to loosen your muscle a little bit. Also, you can consult an acupuncture specialist who will be able to limit the pain that you experience.
If you are worried about the surgery because you think it is serious, do not be alarmed. It is a relatively minor surgery and it will hardly be painful after the procedure. Also, there are minimal risks to the surgery. I advise that you assess the pros and cons of each method and then decide the best course for you.
