Calves Having Painful Cramps, Sore. What Cane Done?
Hi James, Thanks for writing your query. After reading your post, it seems that pain in your calves are due to muscle spasm. It may be due to over exertion by the muscles of legs. You should give adequate rest to your body. Hot fomentation and application locally of pain relieving gel will help in relief from your symptoms. Pain killer like Ibuprofen one tablet twice a day after meals along with a muscle relaxant like chloraxazone and an antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg will be helpful. Vitamin E supplement for few days will also help in relief. Also take care of your diet. You should eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of pure water daily. If the problem is persisting, you can have following investigations done :- 1. Serum electrolytes. 2. Serum calcium. 3. Serum Uric Acid. I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
