Can 5htp And Pristiq Be Taken Together In Insomnia?

I m taking 5htp 100 mg 2x per day and have just been prescribed pristig 50 per day. can I take them together or should I stop the 5htp first and for how long? I have insomnia that worsened with the first day on Effexor and horrible nausea and stopped that drug.

You may continue taking both the medications. Pristiq is not a sedating antidepressant. If you had problems with sedation as well as depression then paroxetine and mirtazapine would have been a better option.
