Can Advil Be Taken Thrice A Day For Relief From Shingles Pain?

Can I take four Advil capsules three or four times a day to relieve shingles pain? I have a mild case that might not blister, according to my doc, since I have had the vaccine before. I just need to relieve the pain which is keeping me awake most of the night.

Hello and thank you for choosing HCM.
As for your question, you can take Advil 3 times a day, better after meals to prevent possible stomach ache.
Since you have been vaccinated, you will probably have a mild case, as your doctor said.
I suggest, in case Advil would not be sufficient, to add another pain-relief, such as Paracetamol 500-1000mg (if you don't have any liver disease or allergic to it).
Hope to have been helpful to you.
Regards.
