Can Benadryl Be Taken While On Acetaminophen-Codeine?

Hello. I recently received trauma to the head, and have seen a doctor and have been cleared of a concussion. I have severe head pain as well as a headache, and have been having a hard time sleeping. I have been prescribed Acetaminophen-Codeine but am still waking up in the night because of my pain. Can I take either Benadryl or Melatonin to try and stay asleep during the night?

conclusion is just shaking of brain and it is to be separated from brain injury and look for nausea vomiting and pinpoint pupil. concusion will become normal an can be observed and compared with head injury.
