Can Betnesol Injection Be Taken During Pregnancy?
Hi Sir , my wife is pregnant and around 32 weeks have passed and doctor has advice for betnesol injection and given 3 injections today, whether it is safe and 3 more injections would be given tomorrow. I want to understand through this injection what will be benefit

Hello,
It is a corticosteroid which is given when there are chances of going into premature labour.
The fetus lung will not be developed by then and so to promote lung surfactants this injection is given in order to avoid any fetal respiratory distress.
