Can COPD Cause Swelling In The Legs?

Can COPD cause swelling in the legs? My sister is a smoker, has bronchitis, and DVT has been ruled out. She has seen numerous MD s and no one has been able to pinpoint the cause of her very painful swelling in her legs and ankles. It limits her mobility. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

chronic COPD leads to decrese oxygen saturation of blood therby increases workloaad of heart . some times in such a condition heart do not able to fumction propeely and leads to pedal oedema . I suggest you to consult a medicine physician and take his advice .
