You have FINALS this week? From summer courses? Just curious since I don't know any college/university that has not already started its Fall semester. At any rate, I'm a little curious as to how you were able to get clearance from your doctor to use
Concerta on an "as needed basis." Medications for true conditions of ADD are designed to be taken on a continuously scheduled basis. If somehow this schedule of yours seems to work then, I would question the diagnosis of ADD. At any rate, that's just an aside. On the question of
gastritis and heart problems. Exactly what kind of heart problems are you referring to because that shouldn't be the case in someone your age. Sounds as if you suffer from a significant case of
anxiety disorder and this may be exacerbated by the fact you have finals.
As far as your symptoms are concerned...Concerta is associated with production of or worsening of gastritic symptoms. Because it is a stimulant type of medication then, it also can cause fast heart beats, skipped heart beats, and in some patients depending on the severity,
chest pain. Again, you haven't mentioned exactly what your heart "problems" are but those are the major issues with concerta related to your specific concerns.
I would strongly advise you seek another opinion on your diagnosis and the proper way of taking medications for the condition if in fact, that is what you have.
