Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday I received a cortisone injection in my left knee... the second one in about 4 months__ the first was not effective. My question is; can cortisone cause migraines? 10 years ago I was taking meds for Hepc and they caused them at that time. Routinely I do not get headaches unless my blood pressure sky rockets. It is dynamic. Pain is at my temples and behind both ears spreading to near mid skull. Thank you.
I don't think this migraine headache is related to corticosteroids usage. Visit a neurologyst because it can be migraine and you should take proper treatment.
Meanwhile continue taking anti-inflammatory drugs such acetaminophen or ibuprofen for headache.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
