Can Dilantin Or Topamax Cause Hepatitis?
I have a question If you have hepatitis induced from seizure medications with a patient just recently in status for 10 days what would you do. Dilantin 200mg BID Depakote 500mg QID Topamax 200mg BID Vimpat 200mg TID Was on Keppra was sleeping on it had headache. AST in the 300 and ALT as well? Would would you do!? Young 33 year never on seizure medication in the past? Seizure at age 5,8,16. Absence seizure had a child.

Most of the anti-epileptic drugs can damage Liver tissue and function. Dilantin is having more effect. While on these drugs regular Liver function test will give information.
