Can Effexor Or Lexapro Cause Feeling Of Sickness And Tiredness?

My neurologist had me taking Effexor for depression/anxiety. I didn't feel it worked very well (I was taking it 6 months or more). The same Doctor switched me to Lexapro. I stopped taking the Effexor and he has me taking a half pill of Lexapro. Can the Effexor be stopped cold turkey and Lexapro taken instead. I'm not sleeping well and always feel sick or tired.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if Effexor or Lexapro cause feeling of sickness and tiredness . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like viral infection , low blood iron and glucose level , but in your case the symptoms are probably occur due to effexor as its side effects . I would suggest you to consult doctor who prescribed this medicine and discuss the condition . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now drink plenty of water add fresh fruits and green vegetables in your diet and do light exercises .
