Good evening From all the information that you have shared I understand your concern. Finasteride 1mg is a minimal dose which can be taken for months together. Finasteride helps lower your dihydro-testosterone levels which is primarily responsible for male pattern baldness. Many of the patients who come to our clinic are on Finasteride but very few develop side effects which is again temporary. I also keep them on certain supplements like Keraglow Men & minoxidil preparation 5,10,12.5% based on the extent of hairloss. Please consult your Trichologist on the same and discuss if you would be more comfortable with hair transplant or other hair regrowth treatments which are available these days rather than taking pills.
