Can Generic Be Used Instead Of Zaditor For Allergies?
my brother who lives in Iran has blepharospam. He asked me to buy Zaditor drops for him but I can't find it here. Could you tell me what is diferencess between Zaditor and Generic drops. Shall I buy Generic instead of Zaditor. He is using Zaditor for Alergies. Many thans Nahid

hello,thanks for your query, medication is used to prevent and treat itching of the eyes caused by allergies (allergic/seasonal conjunctivitis). Ketotifen is an antihistamine is the component, generic is same as branded in action, it differs only in money., go ahead . hope i have answered your query. all the best. take care.

Zaditor is Ketotifen which is an antihistamine and can be used for allergic conditions of the eyes.
Zaditen by Novartis and asmafort by Julphar are ketotifen and are available in Iran. They should work as well as Zaditor.
Hope your brother has seen a doctor and was diagnosed that the his eye condition is due to allergy only. There are other causes of closure of eye lids. Blepharospasm is a neurological condition characterized by forcible closure of the eyelids and is not an allergic condition.
