Can HCG Shots Cause Delay In Periods?

Hi! I took HCG shots for 7 days. The last shot was taken on Monday, 03/24/14. My period usually comes on the 3rd of each month. Can the shots cause a delay in my period? How long should I wait before taking a pregnancy test? I do not want to get a false positive result. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

Delay in the menstrual cycle can occur due to the HCG shots by itself.
However, if you have missed period for more than a week now, do a home pregnancy test.
