Can HIV Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sex?
Yesterday was my birthday and some friends took me to a strip club. After lots of drinks I got a private dance from a stripper and she gave me a blowjob. I am always careful and use protection but this time I didn t. Should I get tested for std, and how soon?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Transmission of HIV is possible when blood or tissue fluids come in contact with the cuts on the skin or mucosal surface. It is not transmitted by non-penetrative sex. Generally, oral sex is not the route by which HIV is transmitted as it is not transmitted by saliva. Hence, you need not worry much about it. In case you want to get tested, then you can do it after 2 weeks and once again between 3 to 6 months. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
