Can I Conceive If Going Through Menopause?

Hello! I have been looking for some answers over the net about menopause and chances of having a baby. I'm 49 yrs old and have been going thru menopause for 5yrs. I sometimes have a period still but only once or twice a year and bleed for 3 days. not heavy just light. I have never had a child but have always dreamed of having one. Now I'm with a man that is 12 years younger and would like for us to have a child together. So we was just wondering if that can be done at my age.

HI,
Conception in premenopause is possible, though rare.Conception is possible, after the ovum gets mature to ovulate thereafter-meets a healthy sperm within 36 hours- gets implanted in well formed endometrium.
This capacity reduces day by day as the menopause advances.
If you have a strong will to have child, your hormonal assay should be done & the possibility of conception assessed for test tube baby by an expert gynecologist's consultation.
Thanks
