Can I Conceive With My Seizures Being Under Control?
hi my name is soumya.i hav seizures thats why i am taking multitherapy.phenytoin 100mg,keppra 500mg ,lamictal 100mg,lyrica cap 150 mg .all medicines re taking twice in daily.i wanna to be pregnant.now my seizure in control positon.is it the right time for conception.?i wanna to know can i hav a healthy baby?

Since you are under multi-drug therapy, some of which are not to be used during pregnancy, you need to consult your neurophysician as to the management while you try to conceive. You need to change over to safer drugs over a period of time before you try to conceive. It is also possible to have healthy babies provided you take all the precautions to evade further seizures during the pregnancy. Though some of the drugs are transmitted to the fetus across the placenta, most often they do not show any permanent effect. Hope this helps.
