Can I Mix ClavaMox With Milk?

Yesterday, Kitty was prescribed ClavaMox. (1.cl twice daily). She resists the oral dropper. Can we mix the dose with a tablespoon of milk? I am certain she will lap it up without hesitation. Would that negatively impact the delivery/effectiveness of the antibiotic?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM!

I understand your problem.

If she is entirely refusing to take it with dropper, you might first try it with water.
Even then, if she refuses, you may give it with milk. It might slightly decrease the effect of antibiotic. But it is better if she takes some rather than nothing.

Hope this information helps.
Feel free to ask if you have any doubt.

With warm regards,
Dr. Sridhar Reddy
